The Pixel Retail Event January 2025
On Wednesday 29th January The Pixel held their January retail event at the Adobe White Collar Factory offices. In a room packed full of retailers the event covered a wide range of eCommerce topics and themes and plenty of opportunities for networking and conversation.
The event commenced with an update on the latest Pixel news from Aynsley Peet covering The Pixel DX data hub, recent client project go-lives and the launch of the customer experience feedback survey.
The presentations then moved on to the latest retail and eCommerce Trends and Predictions covering trade predictions for 2025, mobile commerce data, email data trends, payment trends and predictions for 2025 on the changing search landscape, Google AI overviews, social media, sustainable eCommerce and AI driven customer support.
This was followed by a “Delivering award winning websites” talk from Luke Hobbs of The Pixel which detailed the importance of focusing on functionality and usability, enhancing collaboration, and understanding data and experiences. The talk concluded with insight from Luke on the project process and takeaways for the attendees on how to collect data and test your UX objectives.
After the mid morning break, Rosie Bailey from Nibble presented “Are you discounting too much?” This session provided great insight on the art of negotiations and using AI for negotiating with consumers.
This was followed by the customer roundtables where we had amazing contributions from the retailers covering eCommerce roadmaps, discounting and AI. Great to hear the roadmaps and plans of our customers for 2025 and great to hear how retailers are utilising AI and plan to use AI across their eCommerce teams, technology and websites.
After lunch we had a presentation from Sima Smadi from Adobe who presented a talk on eCommerce and retail trends in 2025.
This was followed by an insightful customer talk from Lucy Greenwood of Science in Sport on the “Rise of the Phoenix” and a brand led website design and a phased approach to website design projects. The talk highlighted the importance of a working relationship between Science in Sport and The Pixel, documenting core values, right people in the room for the project and defining clear requirements. Thank you Lucy for delivering an insightful talk and bringing insight into the brand led website project.
The final presentation on the day was an Informative talk from Adam Dobkin of The Pixel on the EAA and the impact of accessibility.
Thanks to all the retailers who attended The Pixel retail event and we are already planning our next May 2025 event. Please reach out to The Pixel if you would like to attend our next retail event - we will be delighted to see you at our events!
